Community in movement (Brooklyn)
This was (still going on) one really good cooperation with a Yoga teacher, fantastic lady – Grace, who started this Community in movement , located in Brooklyn. The logo was, what she needed as a first item for re-branding her studio look online & physically.
So the task was: to come-up with the logo, which would contain a sign & studio name. A statement for the sign was to reflect nature, health, balance, harmony, movement & cooperation. So i come – up with several ideas to choose from:
1. stylized lotus flower as a circle,
2. stylized lotus root, which also is a cirlce, but irreagular in this case,
3. stylized Ginko leave won the competition (in circle – which is symbol of movement as well as harmony as a complete shape). Also there is an option to fill with a color one of the leaves of the sign, then it reflect an inj&janj concept, but in the end Grace decided to go with the clean, simple version, just a line.
As for the color – it must look connected tot he nature, so it was impossible or simply made no sense to use any other color than green. Shade was picked out, cause Grace wanted smth kouzy, warm, so smth a bit warmer than typical salad green was selected.
